Currency Converter Setup Guide

How to install Currency Converter on your Shopify store and check that it's working.

  1. 1. Install Currency Converter

    Install Currency Converter from the Shopify App Store and approve it in your Shopify admin. You start on the Free plan and can change plans later in the app.

  2. 2. Turn on Currency Converter in your theme

    In Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds. Turn on Currency Switcher, then select Save. Until it's on, the app shows a button that opens this screen with Currency Switcher already selected. No code changes are needed.

  3. 3. Choose your currencies

    In the app's settings, select Browse to pick the currencies shoppers can switch to, choose where the switcher appears on the page, then save.

  4. 4. See it on your store

    Open your online store and pick another currency in the switcher. Prices on the page change to that currency. Checkout stays in your store's currency unless Shopify Markets handles the shopper's currency.

  5. 5. If you don't see it

    Check that Currency Switcher is on in App embeds for your published theme, and that you selected Save. If you turned on Hide Currency Converter in the app's settings, prices convert without showing the switcher. On pages where Shopify Markets has already converted prices, Currency Converter stays out of the way.
