Short answers to common questions about Currency Converter.
How much does Currency Converter cost?
There's a Free plan. Starter is $9.99 every 30 days or $99.99 a year, and Standard is $19.99 every 30 days or $199.99 a year, billed through Shopify.
Is there a free trial?
Starter and Standard include a 14-day free trial the first time your store subscribes. If your store is part-way through an earlier trial, you keep the days you have left. Switching plans doesn't start a new trial.
Why don't I see the currency switcher on my store?
Check that Currency Switcher is turned on under Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds, and that you selected Save. If Hide Currency Converter is on in the app's settings, prices convert without showing the switcher.
Which currency do customers pay in?
Checkout is in your store's currency unless Shopify Markets handles the shopper's currency. Currency Converter changes the prices shoppers see while they browse.
Does it work with Shopify Markets?
Yes. On pages where Shopify Markets has already converted prices, Currency Converter stays out of the way so prices aren't converted twice.
Can prices switch to the shopper's local currency automatically?
Yes, on every plan, including Free: turn on Geolocation Auto-Switch in the app's settings (in the new admin it's called "Suggest a currency using shopper location"). With the app embed, the shopper's country is only used when Shopify reports that the shopper allows analytics.
I installed Currency Converter a while ago. Do I need to do anything?
Turn on Currency Switcher in App embeds before 1 March 2027, when Shopify stops running the older version of Currency Converter. Nothing else changes for your shoppers.
What happens to my data when I uninstall?
We delete your settings, visitor counts and activity counts when you uninstall. When Shopify sends its store erasure request 48 hours later, we delete anything left for your store.
