How much does Currency Converter cost?
Simple is free. Starter is $9.99 every 30 days or $99.99 a year (price endings, checkout currency and hiding the switcher), and Standard is $19.99 every 30 days or $199.99 a year (advanced rounding, currency by country and custom exchange rates), billed by Shopify.
Is there a free trial?
Starter and Standard include a 14-day free trial the first time you subscribe.
Why don't I see the currency switcher on my store?
Check that Currency switcher is turned on in Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds, and that you selected Save. Then check that Show the switcher is on in the app's Design page; with it off, prices still convert by location but no switcher is drawn.
Which currency do customers pay in?
Checkout is in your store's currency unless Shopify Markets handles the shopper's currency; Currency Converter changes the prices shoppers see while they browse. On Starter, Checkout currency in Settings can ask the shopper or switch to their local currency for checkout, only for stores using Shopify Payments with those currencies enabled in Markets.
Does it work with Shopify Markets?
Yes. On pages where Shopify Markets has already converted prices, Currency Converter stays out of the way so prices aren't converted twice, and the Currencies page in Settings adds your Shopify Markets currencies in one step.
Can prices switch to the shopper's local currency automatically?
Yes, on every plan: turn on Auto-switch by location in Settings, and on Standard use Currency by country to choose the currency shoppers from a country see first. With the app embed, we use the shopper's country only when they allow analytics.
I installed Currency Converter a while ago. Do I need to do anything?
Turn on Currency switcher in App embeds before 1 March 2027, when Shopify stops running the older version of Currency Converter. Nothing else changes for your shoppers.
What happens to my data when I uninstall?
When you uninstall, we delete your settings and counts. Anything left is deleted 48 hours later.
