The Zoomifi Rental Timer app is designed to simplify the way you charge your customers by the minute, hour or day.

  1. Open the Inventory application on your Clover device and create an inventory item that you would like to charge a customer based on the amount of time that they use.
  2. Once you’ve created the inventory items, go to the Rental Timer app on your Clover device and open it.
  3. Search for a specific inventory item and then set the Price, Timeframe (can be by minute, hour or day) and click on the “Save” button.
  4. Once the Save button turns grey, click on the checkbox next to the Save button.
  5. Repeat the steps for other inventory items that you’d like to have a timer for.
  6. Once you’ve set up your timers, you can proceed to the Register to start taking orders and follow the popup screens and instructions.

FAQ:

Most common issues can be resolved with rebooting your Clover device:
 
Issue: When I start an order with an item which has a timer, there is no popup
Solution: Please make sure that the Rental Timer logo is on the very top left corner of the screen.  If it is not, please open the Rental Timer application on your Clover device and see it that creates the logo on the top left corner.
 
Issue: I would like to round up the timer to the nearest minute, hour or day
Solution: the application does not round to the fullest minute, hour or day, but you DO HAVE the final window with the time and amount and you are able to manually adjust the amount before you complete the timer.  So if the timer says that your customer had the item for 45 minutes and you would like to charge them for a full hour, simply adjust the final amount before you complete the timer.  You can watch the video on this page to see how this works.
